In most cases our actions in daily life flow from our perceptions, aspirations, and basic attitudes. And vice versa, we can affect our emotions by bringing something new to our daily life. Life is about change, even seasons change regularly.

People in deep depression have life apathy. Nothing makes them cheerful. They are so much depressed that their daily routine consists of a minimal basic set of items, actions, interactions etc. If you try to analyze depressed person’s emotions, you’ll find that their basic need is consistency, nothing should be changed, NOTHING. 

Depressed people and their relatives think that this stagnation is caused by a depressed personality and their mood. However, depression doesn’t happen in a moment, it evolves during the months and even years. What we see is the result, not the reason. 

Problems start slowly, little by little, daily routine swamps the person, s/he loses life interest, because they can’t realize the aim of their life. If they can’t achieve their cornerstone desire, their mind refuses everything else also.

New Routine

The best way to get out of this situation is to add diversity to a person’s life. 

The easiest and most tangible way is to start from the personal care, for example – wardrobe. Just stop wearing the same items every day.
